A Day for Work and Play

3pm - attended the District Training Committee.

This is a meeting of members of our District who have accepted the role of planning the all important District training programme.  The key events in the programme are:
  • President Elect Preparatory Seminars  - PEPS for short at 6 various venues around the District
[these are planned for November - dates are in the Directory]
  • President Elect Training Seminar - PETS for short
PDG Dexter and DGE Bob
[this is planned for March in Auckland as a multi-District event known as South Pacific PETS (SPPETS for short)  - this is going to be an exciting event for all Presidents Elect to attend, with the support of their respective Clubs.
  • Assistant Governor and District Leaders training - 19 February - venue to be confirmed
  • District Assembly [formerly known as LETS] - 17 April in Palmerston North
Other topics also included:
  • Club Visioning (going extremely well in a number of Clubs) and the first Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) training session - 16 October in Wellington

6pm - attended a quiz night at a local Bar with my Port Nicholson Club - a great social event and Jenny and I happened to be in the winning team (Hot Spuds) and received a prize for our efforts.

This week Jenny and I  look forward to visiting Milson, Awapuni, Waikanae and Kapiti Clubs.
