Momentum is building for our "Polio Riders"

Excitement is starting to build for the fast approaching Cycling NZ for PolioPlus Project which kicks off in just four weeks.
New Wellington Mayor, Celia Wade-Brown, has announced her intention to play a major role in the inter-District campaign to raise awareness about polio and to support the global campaign which is raising funds for PolioPlus from one end of New Zealand to the other.

Her Worship will cycle with Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, Xaver Hausner, and his friend Oliver Macindoe as they complete the last leg of the North Island part of their journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff on Tuesday December 21.
The trio will be joined by many other cyclists for the last few kilometres from Petone into Wellington where they will be met by a crowd of Rotary supporters at Civic Square.
The Mayor is a high profile cyclist herself and campaigned for a cycle way around Wellington's magnificent harbour.
Groups of Rotary cyclists are gearing themselves up from Northland to Invercargill to ride with the two young adventurers.
Keep up to date with the details of when the riders will be near your town on the dedicated Cycling NZ for PolioPlus website
