Red Nose Day this Friday!!

Cure Kids was established by Rotary in New Zealand over 35 years ago and Rotary is the 'Community Partner' for the Red Nose Day this Friday. It is a nationwide event which has the support of all six New Zealand-based districts. Red Nose Day aims to raise over $1 million for research into children's life-threatening illnesses and their families via a range of Red Nose Day merchandise available from all Paper Plus and Take Note stores, and car noses in all Shell service stations, from 1 November. Sales of jaffas (sweets) will also support the campaign.
On 19 November New Zealand will be a sea of red as Cure Kids encourages everyone to down pens or tools at 10am and take part in the Red Nose Day morning tea.
All Rotary clubs will have the opportunity to become involved in supporting this high profile campaign which runs from 1 November, culminating in Red Nose Day on 19 November. The primary focus of Rotary's involvement is to support Cure Kids in association with Paper Plus and Take Note stores (which will be the community 'hub' for the event).
As 'Community Partner' Rotary is  able to promote Rotary in a way that captures people's attention and shows the club in a positive way that will help foster future community support and partnerships, plus membership growth.

Can you believe it, the last Red Nose Day was some 13 years ago!! I'm sure you will agree, this is a fun activity for a very worthwhile cause. With our combined efforts Rotary can again be seen as relevant and active in building communities.  Let's make it happen in your community.
