Dates with art prove charitable

A passion, an idea and a focus on service to others leads to all sorts of opportunities.  These calendars were offered to attendees at our recent Conference and I know many Clubs have been actively promoting and selling these over recent years.  This was reported in the NZ Herald today:

A Kiwi man's love of art is paying off big time for Rotary clubs of New Zealand.
New Zealand Financial Planning director Greg Moyle has amassed about 800 New Zealand paintings and is making sure as many people get to see them as possible - with a charity twist.
Former Mt Albert Grammar student Moyle and partner Kristen Flannery have for eight years produced an annual calendar featuring their art, and the $5 profit from each sale has boosted Rotary club coffers by $120,000 in that time.

I also acknowledge and thank New Zealand Financial Planners for their generous sponsorship of our recent Wairakei Conference. [DG Howard]
