Notes from Changeover (Part I)

The RI theme set by RI President Ray Klinginsmith has been into Building Communities - Bridging Continents.  Most appropriate for all of us as we promote the value of Rotary to ourselves and to others.
Our District theme has been to make our Actions Count.
While visiting Clubs I emphasised the need
·        to build Bigger, Better and Bolder Clubs and programmes
·        to challenge the norms
·        to question traditions
·        to review our practices and ensure we have Clubs that attract new members and retains our current
·        to encourage all to consider change
·        to aim for big goals (to "aim for the moon and maybe hit the cowshed") and to extend your members and their activities
·       to encouraged all members to ‘get off their ASK’ with membership and to actively engage all members in Club activities
·        to encourage all to think outside the box, to be innovative, to collaborate with fellow Cluster Clubs and for Clusters to work together
·        to encourage all to work on inter District projects, and finally to enjoy what we all do as passionate individuals who put service to others first

The next post will explain our achievements this year!
