Well - the visits continue but this time I can truely feel honoured to be called District Governor of District 9940. Tonight Jenny and I went to Kapiti for their Changeover. The previous night we were in Wanganui North. Both were wonderful experiences as we enjoyed the friendship and the laughs with rotarians as they celebrated their new year and the passing of office from one President to another. In Kapit's case, President Jim will serve another 6 months.
At Kapiti I had the honour of presenting an inaugrial Selly Hyde Founders Award to Past RI Director Neil Inkster - a man who has servied Rotary and his community well for many years. 100% pins were given to 13 members, two Paul Harris Awards were presented along with many other certificates. Jenny and I left Kapiti with a feeling of satisfaction that we werle to me abake another Changeover and to get to know another group of Rotarians. Thanks to Gary McElhinney (pictured) for his photography.
