Pigs for Polio
One of my key messages for Clubs is to think outside the box, be creative, innovate - in fact, to dare to be a turtle - who to make progress must stick it's neck out! Karori Club is doing just that. incoming President Michael was determined to give the Polio fund a real push and so picked up an idea suggested by Wanganui Clubs and went to the local banks asking for plastic piggy banks. Finally ING came to the party and at my visit, there they were - a whole army of them lining up ready to do service! Members have taken them and are placing them (with an appropriate explanation) at work places, in the community or at home to pick up the coins that can End Polio. Well done Karori.
