Happy Birthday PDG Stuart - 100 today!!

PDG Stuart when I visited him in July
Yes folks, that's right.

Stuart Hayton, our first ever District Governor in 9940 in 1956/57, turns 100 today!

I read in the Paraparaumu Bulletin this morning the following:

Murray Ballinger’s two minute talk was based on the District Directory (good to know that our Secretary is very familiar with it) and commented on Past District Governors that he had known from other lives.  Stuart and Nigel Hayton he knew from plumbing/sheet metal connections with his family’s business (he had tried to buy the Haytons out at one stage), Ted de Joux had been an early purchaser in Kapiti Village (developed by the Ballinger family), and Dexter Bamberry had been his dentist in his student days.  He commented that none of them had ever suggested that he join Rotary.

We have sent him good wishes from all the Past District Governors - and I am sure the Queen has too!

Happy Birthday Stuart
