Aim for the moon

New Plymouth West Club in action!
Often I have commented that we should aspire to high goals - big, hairy, scary goals.
In this case my goal is simple.
To reverse the trend of declining membership in our District.
How do we do that?
Very simply by bringing more people into Rotary through invitation.

How is this achieved?

Simply by confidently asking!

Please don't make up the minds of those you are about to ask, thinking of all the reasons they should say no.  Rather, as you ask, think of the very reason you remain a member - to serve the community, to meet others of like mind and to develop friendships.  To share our backgrounds and to network.  To have fun!

Club Presidents need to be supported by the members to achieve positive growth.  And positive growth builds on a positive membership.  As RIP Ray says, it is a powerful cycle.

Aim for the moon - and let's hand DGE Bob a District on the up and up!  Reports I am receiving from Clubs are that they have members ready to join.  Let's build on this momentum and then remember, to engage our new members with ACTION.
