Doing good in the world

Are you like me and tire from hearing about all the bad things in the news.  Why is it so hard to get good news into the media?  I received this link today that some may find interesting.  It is from the Good News Agency which carries positive and constructive news from all over the world relating to voluntary work, the work of the United Nations, non governmental organizations, and institutions engaged in improving the quality of life – news that doesn’t “burn out” in the space of a day.

It is published in English on one Friday and in Italian the next and it is distributed free of charge through Internet to 10,000 media and editorial journalists of the daily newspapers and periodical magazines and of the radio and television stations in 54 countries, as well as to over 3,000 NGO and service associations in the world and 1,600 high schools, colleges and universities.
