08004Rotary

Many of you in New Zealand may not know there is an 0800 number which is supported by all 6 Districts in New Zealand.
It receives calls from all quarters and last month 140 calls were logged - District 9940 accounted for 20% of this total.  It can reach as high as 250 calls per month.  The calls last month covered such subjects as:

  • Assistance for Hearing Assoc
  • Howick, Waimate, Ashburton, Plimmerton and Tauranga book fairs
  • Spirit of Adventure sponsorship
  • Science School applications
  • Donation to Polio Plus from woman whose husband had polio & son a TRF Scholar
  • Rotary club addresses
  • Raffle results
  • Young man wanting to know about leadership courses
  • Funding for an art project
  • JR McKenzie Youth Education Trust applications
  • Visiting English Rotarians wanting meeting times
  • Wanting to borrow a quick fire raffle wheel
