Cameras Rolling!!

Well!  A day in the sun as a part of a group of extras for a movie.
That's right, Rotarians were organised to assemble at The Basin Reserve for a day in 1950's clothing and a day in the sun.  Funds raised will be donated to The Rotary Foundation.
It was fun but near the end a tad exhausting!  
We had to be the South African crowd watching New Zealand play South Africa in the 1953 cricket test at Ellis Park 2 days after the Tangiwai disaster that claimed  151 lives on Christmas Eve.

Weta Workshop is building replica 1930s train carriages for an upcoming film about the Tangiwai disaster – enlisting the help of the Feilding and District Rail Society.
Workers from the society have been busy putting the final touches on the last of four trunk cars wanted for the movie, which will be based on the 1953 tragedy that killed 151 people.
The carriages were built in 1939 as express trains – the same as the one involved in the disaster – and for the past two years volunteers have been lovingly restoring them
