Rotary members 'assemble' at Palmy!

Dave & Margaret Smith with Robin Aitken
Dave and Robin are members of the RNZWCS committee.
Jenny and I have arrived in Palmerston.  The weather is clearing and I am sure it will be all good to go as we gather for our District Assembly tomorrow.  PDG Pat Waite and his training team (notably PDG Dexter Bambury) have done a great job supporting DGE Bob is bringing together a fantastic programme of workshops and some great speakers.  It is good if your Club is represented tomorrow.  I hear some are making up their minds at the last minute and coming.  This is a great day full of discussion and a chance to meet up with others - all sharing a passion to help their community.
Wellington South's greatproject will soon be complete.

This morning I met up with Martin Garcia and his team who focus on international service projects.  They reviewed their 'master plan' which has refocused them in promoting our overseas service.

I can't wait to see our Taveuni Ambulance!  It is freshly pained in red and yellow with the Rotary wheel on each door.  Thanks to Petone Club, Michael Bolton and President Pam.  Also to Scott Bruce who has made the arrangements to have the vehicle transported to Fiji.  Thanks to those Clubs who have contributed - if your Club has not (and this is a multi District project across our 6 Districts) then contact me direct.

There is no better time to be a Rotarian!!
