He tangata, he tangata, he tangata – it is the people, the people, the people.
This has been a year of champions - a year in which we have listened more carefully to what people and our communities are saying – a year in which we have learnt the true meaning of Rotary International as the messages, donations and offers of help have poured in from all around the world – a year in which we have been encouraged to change and have needed to change as we respond as a District to the disasters that have been part of our lives. Brian and I would like to think that as we have worked together as a District building websites, sending gumboots, shifting liquefaction, making beautiful quilts, packing ERKs, just being there when the times are really tough - that while caring for our families, our members, our clubs and our communities our purpose been strengthened. Thank you for your willingness to put ‘Service above Self’ – your ability to care.
