Plimmerton - they're opening their spinnaker!

Great to see our American IYE guest
Great to enjoy the support of
President Phillip and AG Glynis
Plimmerton Rotary Club meets in the Paremata Boating Club - one that prides itself as the training ground for Russell Coutts of America's Cup fame - he being a local Paremata boy.  Here is a Club with a proud history and making a huge impact with their activities and various projects, both big and small.  Book Fairs, Walkway projects, Computers in Schools, Four Wheel Drive events, movie nights, Science Forum candidates, International Youth Exchange, new Club fellowship ideas and innovative marketing for new members.  President Phillip and Janet welcomes Jenny and me into their home for the Board meeting.  Later we
Yes sir Sergeant
travelled to their meeting where the warmth of welcome was so typical of the Clubs we have visited throughout the District.  It was good to meet up with DGN Graeme Blick and Chris.  Members proudly wore their Paul Harris Fellow medals and we welcomed partners and visitors.  Lots of laughs, a lively sergeant session for the Christchurch relief fund and an attentive audience for what I had to say - focusing on communication and need for this to be a focus both within the Club and the wider community.  A great night - and that makes 37 visits with only 23 to go.
