Feedback is a positive read

Joy Durrant (District Literacy Coordinator) received the following note from Eastern Hutt following the recent distribution of Dictionaries:

For the last 2 years, Eastern Hutt have presented dictionaries to all year 4 students at:
  • Naenae School
  • Pomare School
  • Taita Central School
  • St. Michaels School, Taita
All the above are decile 1 schools in the Hutt Valley.

We certainly intend to continue with these 4 schools next year and I feel confident that future Boards will continue to support his very worthwhile project. The Principals generally invite us to attend their Morning Tea and we then present the dictionaries after that. It was interesting this year to receive unsolicited feedback from staff as to the very positive response from children and families who had received them the previous year
and the excitement as we arrived to hand out the books to the 2010 year 4 was very obvious.

Keep up the good work!
