Japan's suffering as they shake
This weekend I have travelled with Jenny to Christchurch to see our friends DG Margaret and Brian. And then to be shocked to watch television reports of Japan's quake - 8,000 times greater than that which hit Christchurch on 22 February. What is happening to our world? The devastation, the disruption to communities and the loss of life is becoming too familiar of late. I will be reporting on the meeting that I attended with local Christchurch Club Presidents and AG's, but in the meantime we stop to reflect on the loss of life for our friends in Japan. It is good to see New Zealand responding immediately with the sending of a USAR team. Do we have sister clubs in Japan? Our international family of Rotary continues to support each other as those in Christchurch have felt the support of their international family over recent weeks.
