Christchurch Earthquake - creative ideas of support

Clubs are coming up with creative ways to support the people of Christchurch - in particular those families impacted by the devastating earthquake and aftershocks.

There are some suggestions that we support families by offering to provide children with accommodation and fun activities while the mums and dads get on with recovery.  Although a very generous offer, we need to make sure families are supported and the offers such as these, although made with the very best intentions, may cause other issues for young children.

Rest assured, the money being deposited by the numerous Clubs in our District to RNZWCS will be put to very good use - the assessment of the situation is on-going and we will be advised how the funds will be put to use.
