Christchurch Relief Effort

Reported in Plimmerton's bulletin this week after my visit on Thursday:

"What a fantastic result from the Sergeants sessions over the last two weeks. Last week the Sergeants raised $447.50 and this week $683.30 giving a total of $1130.80. This is a record for the Club and reflects the very generous spirit of all Club members. The proceeds will be forwarded to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. The ideas for perhaps helping victims in other ways are still being assessed and we will talk to District Governor Barbara Reeve to ensure any proposal is both appropriate and effective."

Thanks to you all.  This week I have worked on a Survey with Christchurch (DG Margaret Reeve and PDG Ross Skinner) which will be sent out to all Clubs so we can appreciate the depth of support provided to our friends in Canterbury.
