RYPEN - changing young lives

What we do for young people has the potential to change lives!
Rotary Youth Enrichment Programme (RYPEN) is one such experience.
With the support across the District, Bill Byford (Taihape Club) reports that there are 25 girls and 20 boys who will part of the programme.
From ice breaker activities on the Friday night, to a 6am start to Wairoru with the NZ Army providing a programme and then after impromptu concerts on Saturday night, river rafting on the Sunday.

Wouldn't it be great to be young again!!

Thanks to all those Clubs who have sponsored a young person to join this fantastic experience.

"What do we hope to achieve?
This is not a school camp! So the participants are out of their comfort zone, they are not surrounded by their old friends, maybe for the first time. They soon learn to talk to strangers, make new friends and try things they thought they were not capable of."
