See you at District Assembly - 17 April

I hope your Club will have a strong representation at District Assembly next Sunday 17 April at Palmerston North.  Do encourage those members who have recently joined your Club to attend.  In fact, a car pool of members should be arranged.  These days are enjoyable and a good opportunity to further invigorate your Club with fresh ideas and programmes.
I know you will be keen to support DGE Bob as he describes his focus as District Governor come 1 July.  There is an exciting line up of workshops and discussion groups - all aimed at strengthening your Club.  Even if you are a long serving Rotarian, you will benefit from attending.

On its way soon to Fiji

I have just confirmed that  the actual ambulance that is soon to be freighted over to Taveuni Island in Fiji will be on display at Assembly.

The islanders will be receiving, with the help of all Districts in Zone 7b (New Zealand and the Pacific Islands), a fully equipped ambulance.  Has your Club contributed yet?  If you have, thank you.  If you yet to support this New Zealand wide Rotary project, why not bring your contribution along on Sunday at Assembly.  Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Petone.  We are linking up with Geoffrey Amos and the Taveuni Rotary Club to make this possible.

This is their current 'ambulance'
